Ares is a medium/large sized dog (70-75 lbs) with solid bone and structure. High drives across the board (prey, hunt, toy, food, etc), full grips, brings aggression to the work, socially neutral to social, environmentally stable. High pack drive. Possessive of objects with others (non-handler) but with his own handler combines some possession with a high desire to interact. Ie brings it back, slams it into me, wants to play, but isn't wild about letting go. Ares is highly intelligent and extremely easy to teach, by 5 months he had the basic concept of the entire FRIII program, except the jumps.
Ares sustained a cruciate injury while competing at PSA3 when he was 9 years old. I had a TPLO done on him, and about a year later his other knee was injured, which is very common with the TPLO. The vet recommended not doing surgery on the other knee, and he has been retired from competition. He still comes out for fun on occasion, and runs/plays with the other dogs, but his trial days are over.

Ares Embark Report is on their website. For a list of health issues the Embark DNA test covers, go to the Embark website Ares hips and elbows were x-rayed when he was young and cleared by the vet. When he was older he was x-rayed during an evaluation for a torn cruciate, one shot was the typical OFA style hip shot. I went ahead and sent them in to OFA and they came back Good.
